Reflections on Blogging

I don't like blogging because I never really know what to say.  I only blog when I am told to blog because I am not very creative.  I could not blog and keep it up because I would forget.  People who blog for money are actually really smart because that is an easy way to get it.  I don't read other blogs reguarly only when I click on one in google.  When ever we have to blog in this class I am always nervous to see what topic we are going to have to do. Sometimes I am okay with them and some I just don't know what to do. 

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day were we can celebrate the men and women who have and who are fighting for our country.  Memorial day was good because I got to see my grandma get the award for citizen of the year during the Westen Parade.  It was really cool.  I then got to go to my other grandparents and hang out with my moms side of the family.  It was really nice because we got to look at old pictures of when my grandpa was in the service.   Memorial day is my favorite holiday to go to my grandparents house becasuse we get to see all the old pictures. 

National Month for ???

Why would anyone want to celebrate unusal things.  It's pointless.  My guess is that nobody really celebrates them anyway.  I think who ever decided to make up these holidays have no life.  They must not have anything to do ever.  They just sit around thinking pointless things.  Somethings that people do celebrate are Mothers Day, Memorial Day, and National Family month.  I would not like to celebrate anything that isnt necessary to celebrate.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day  was a really good day.  I spent it with my entire family.  After church we all went over to my grandparents house and had a lunch and did some yard work for them.  It would have been a great day if my aunt wasn't grumpy.  But all together it was a really good day becasue I got the privallage of spending it with the people who mean the most to me.  I wish I could have went and saw my other grandma.  But by the time we got done at my moms moms it was late and I just went home.  So I plan to go see her after school today. 

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday to celebrate the Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th 1862.  It is actually a big deal in the United States.  A lot of people do celebrate it.  The only thing some people do is eat tacos because it is a mexican holiday.  I don't think it should become a national holiday because it is more celebrated in the US than it is in Mexico.   The only thing that they do in Mexico is observe political speaches and battle reenactments. 

Yesterday was officially "National No Homework Day."  The creaters of this day were Thomas and Ruth Roy of Wellcat Holidays.  It actually does sound like a great idea but I still had homework yesterday.  I spent national no homework day in school then after school I had homework so I had to do it.

Prom!

My thoughts about prom are that it really isn't that exciting.   It really was a waste of money because it wasn't that good.  I should have just went to after prom because it was more fun.  The best part getting the light up cups.  I don't think that it is important to go to prom your senior year.  I think that a lot of people do it just because it is there senior year and it is the last big event of their last year of high school.  After prom was a lot of fun because of the bull, and the jump house. 

Earth Day!

Today is Earth Day.  To me Earth Day is just a day that people celebrate the earth and participate in different activities that have to do with Earth Day.  Some interesting facts about Earth Day that I didn't know are:
1.)April 22 is the first official day of Spring in the Northern hemisphere and of Fall in the Southern hemisphere and was chosen to be Earth Day for this reason.
2.) It began in 1970 when 20 million people across the United States participated in rallies celebrating nature and decrying activities that put it at risk. 
3.) By 2010, Earth Day's 40th anniversary, more thatn 1 billion people in more than 180 countries around the world were estimated to have celebrated, whether by attending events or simply spreading the word on Facebook.
To celebrate this day people should go out and do stuff to help the earth as far as clean up or plant stuff.

Violence on TV

           I don't think there is a problem with the amount of violence on TV.  If someone has a problem with it then they just shouldn't watch it.  Or if you don't want your child to watch it then just block that channel or that show.  I think the reason that there is so much violence is because in todays society people like violence.  For some people that is a factor on if they watch the show or not.

 I think this show is violent because little kids watch this show all the time and the coyote is mean.  I think it is appropriate to watch it at the age when you understand that violence is not okay. Which is different for everyone.

Spring Break

Over Spring Break I painted my room.  One one of the days that I painted my gray walls I had my dressers moved towards the middle of the room.  It was dark and my dog freaked out.  He was ready to attack me.  But since I started talking to him he calmed down and didn't attack.  Also that same night he heard fireworks around midnight.  It was not okay.  Who does fireworks at midnight in April?

Spring Break

Spring Break can not come soon enough.  It is in a week and I don't know what I am doing but I am just glad that I am not going to be in school.   I am going to paint my room and get a new bed for sure but I might go somewhere for a couple days but not sure where yet.  My mom and dad have to work so I will Probally just hang out with my cousin and friends.

Cheaters Never Win

People cheat all the time.  It is not the right thing to do but many people still do it.  I'm sure everyone has cheated at something in their life.  Wether it was a game, on homework, or on anything.  If I were to see a freind cheating on a test i would report it because it isn't fair for them to cheat and get a good grade on the test.  If I were to see a friend cheating at a board game I would just confront them because it wouldn't be as big of a deal.

Harlem Shake

The Harlem Shake is a dance that happens when one person starts it and then everybody else joins in.    I think it is funny.  It would be fun to participatre in one but it would be crazy.  I don't really like how everyone freaks out about it.  It would be okay if everyone wasn't obessed with it and wanting to do it all the time.   

TESTING!

                  I feel that it is okay that we have been tested for 13 years of high school.  I think it is okay because it shows the progress that we make as we grow up.  I don't think that people would try if there wasn't any testing because then they wouldn't have to worry about imporving and getting better scores.  If we didn't test teachers really wouldn't have any way to document or know if we grasp a topic. 
                  Formal testing is a way that the state can tell if the school is doing what they should be doing by improving the scores from when they were younger.  I don't like all the stress that comes with the test.  I am one of the people  who do not do well on test because I stress out so much and I second guess my self all the time. 

TOP FOUR

The top four most important things in my life are family, pets, education, and friends.

1. First would be my family.  I cose my family becasue if wasn't for all of their love and support I wouldn't be where I am today.  They have loved me unconditionally all my life even if I have been a pain.
2. My friends would be second.  I chose my friends because no matter how many fights we may get into we always are over it within a few hours or a day. We all have the same personallity and we all have so much in common that it is hard to be mad at each other. 
3.  My education is important to me becuase with out it I wouldn't be as smart as I am now.  I may not be the smartest person but I am smarter then I would be if I didn't have an education.  Also my education is important because I would like to get into a good college with out it.
4. Lastly my dog is important to my life.  I chose my dog because he protects me from any danger around.  He is a big baby when it comes to going outside in the rain and stuff like that.  But he is my big baby.

Popular President

To me the President that had the greatest impact on the world during there presidency was Bill Clinton.  Because he was really good with economics.  The hardest part about being the President is that you have a lot to accomplish and you are responsible for the country.  I would never want tot be the president because I wouldn't want to be responsible for everything.  Being the president would be hard because you would have a lot of hatred from half the world.  Also if you are a bad president or not well liked then you could end up with people trying to assassinate you.

Charity Event

If I was to have $100,000 that I could not spend on myself I would help my family pay off their bills and help my grandma do the same.  I would also give some money to the Lennawee County Mens's Mission because I go their every fourth Monday of every month.  And they are in need of some repairs on things in the house.  So if I could help with that it would make me feel like a good person. They could also use it to help with the store that they set up. 

I want out of here!!

I want out of here.  I would much rather be at home in the comfort of my own home.  I can't stand waking up and coming to school.  I would also like to be on the beach because it is not here.  School has been making me tired lately and I have not been able to focus on anything for longer than ten minutes.  I just need a break from school and it doesn't seem to be coming fast enough.

Insects

If I could be an insect I would be a mosquito.  I don't really like bugs becasue they are gross and are everywhere.  But if I was a mosquito then people would hate me and I would die.  I would not want to live as a bug so I would would die as soon as possible.  But if I had to live as a mosquito I would try to stay away from people but then I would also die that way becasue then I wouldn't have food to live.

Travel to anywhere I would like

If I could travel anywhere in the world to another country or another city I would choose New Zealand becasue I heard it was a beautiful place to go.  I know someone who was there for a year and he said it was a beautiful place to live for a year.  He said that the land in the country was amazing.  He said he would love to go back.  And the guy that I know who was there for a year is someone who I can trust and he has good taste. He told me that I would like it there and that I would think it was amazing.  He said that if I got to choose to go anywhere thatI should choose New Zealand.

Vacation Time

Over break I relaxed and spent time with my family.  I hung out with my cousin a lot.  We went to the movies and wrestling meets but thats about it.  For Christmas I got a tv and some clothes but thats really it.  I did not go sledding it was too cold and there wasnt even that much snow.  I didn't make any new year resolutions so I don't have to worry about keeping them.  I went to my cousin Chellsies and played with her new baby.  She is so cute she was born on December 23rd.  On New Years eve I went to Howel with my pastor and his family and my mom and dad.  We went to see some old friends that were in the army with Terry.  I heard a lot of old stories of theres and they were quiet interesting.  I met a lot of new people there and had a lot of fun.
